JAWS (1975)

Amity Island had everything. Clear skies, gentle surf, warm waters. Tourists flocked to Amity every summer. But Amity was soon to become the feeding ground for a blood thirsty, great white shark. The small island community is gripped in terror as the killer shark begins frenzied attacks on unsuspecting beach goers. With the beaches now closed, the town employs the services of the Amity police chief (Roy Scheider), a marine scientist (Richard Dreyfuss), and a grizzled fisherman (Robert Shaw), to set out to kill it. The shark, however, proves to be a much greater threat than they had at first perceived. Director: Stephen Speilberg.
